I am thinking about converting a weed eater engine to fit on the boat. i do not however have very much experience in converting engines as i have never done it before. so before i get my hands on an engine, i want to find out how easy it is?. All the larger scale boats run 2 strokes similar to those found in 5th scale rc on/offroad stuff, but really if you're not after a ton of speed and want to build on the cheap, those high end motors are really just nicely ported higher revving weed whacker motors... I have a 28 cc craftsman chainsaw and i also have a 28 cc ryobi weed eater. i dont know which engine would make for a better power source. i also dont kknow it they make a driveline attachment for the chainsaw..
